Transom SternsTransom Stern flows are notoriously difficult for numerical resistance prediction methods to quantify, particularily at low speeds when the hollow is developing. We put Ansys CFX to the test; trying to match some experimental measurements of hollow depth and length.

The results were effective. Below is a sample of hollow depths and lengths from CFD compared to the experiments.
